terms of service

These terms apply when you use the websites and online services of Beljay Labs Pty Ltd ("Beljay Labs", "we", "us"): beljaylabs.com, the carbon snapshot, the business health scan, carbon reporting and business health monitoring (together, the "Services"). By using a Service, you agree to them.

1. who you are dealing with

Pyxta Pty Ltd owns the platform and its intellectual property. Every engagement is contracted, delivered and supported by Beljay Labs Pty Ltd, its operating company, which also licenses the platform for its own products.

2. free tools and paid services

You can use the carbon snapshot and the business health scan free of charge. Carbon reporting, business health monitoring and any other work we set up for an organisation are provided under a separate written agreement. Where that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement applies.

3. connecting Xero

To use a Service with Xero, you authorise read-only access to your Xero organisation. We never create, change or delete anything in your Xero account. Depending on the Service, we read:

• the business health scan: your bills, sales invoices and payments, journals, chart of accounts, bank transactions and contacts;
• the carbon snapshot: invoices, bank transactions, profit and loss and trial balance reports, and supplier invoice PDFs attached in Xero;
• carbon reporting: ledger balances, and invoices with the PDFs attached to them.

Business health monitoring reads the sources set out in your agreement. You can disconnect a Service at any time in Xero's connected apps settings, and we then stop reading your Xero data.

4. how we use your data

We use the data you connect or upload to provide the Services. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, where it is stored and processed, which providers receive it and when it is deleted.

In carbon reporting, the classifications and corrections your team saves become rules for your organisation and are suggested to you next time. We make a rule available to other organisations only after our staff have reviewed it.

We use document-reading and AI model providers only on terms that do not allow them to use your data to train their models.

5. what the results are

The carbon snapshot gives an estimate worked out from the amounts you spent. It is a starting point, not a measured figure.

Carbon reporting measures from the quantities on your invoices where they are available, and converts other costs from spend. Its figures depend on the invoices and data you provide.

The business health scan and business health monitoring flag items that may need checking. A flag is not a finding: a flagged bill may be correct.

Results are for your information and planning. Before you rely on them for regulatory reporting, or for a legal or financial decision, have them checked by someone qualified.

6. your responsibilities

You agree to:

• use the Services only for lawful purposes;
• connect or upload only data you are authorised to share with us;
• keep any sign-in details for the Services safe;
• not copy, reverse engineer, disrupt or misuse the Services.

7. intellectual property

The Services, the Pyxta platform and the software behind them are owned by Pyxta Pty Ltd or Beljay Labs Pty Ltd and are protected by intellectual property laws. The data you connect or upload remains yours.

8. changes to the Services

We may change, suspend or withdraw a free Service at any time. Paid services follow your agreement.

9. limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the Services, including decisions made on the basis of their results. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

10. changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top.

11. governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
